How to Use Quran Khatmah Collaboration
This app helps Muslims collaborate to complete the Quran together. Follow these simple steps:
Starting a New Khatmah
- Click 'Start New Khatmah' on the home page
- Enter the organizer's name (your name)
- Write the purpose of this khatmah (e.g., 'Ramadan 2024', 'Community Khatmah')
- Select an end date for when the khatmah should be completed
- Review the 60 hizb slots - they are pre-determined according to the standard Quran divisions and show where each hizb starts and ends
- Click 'Create' to create your khatmah
- You'll receive a unique code and link to share with others
Joining an Existing Khatmah
- Get the khatmah code from the organizer
- Enter the code in the 'Join Existing Khatmah' section
- Click 'Join' to view the khatmah
Booking a Hizb
- On the khatmah page, you'll see 60 hizb slots
- Available hizbs are shown in gray
- Click on an available hizb to book it
- Enter your name and click 'Save'
- The hizb will turn yellow, showing it's booked by you
Completing a Hizb
- After you finish reciting your booked hizb, click 'Mark as Completed'
- The hizb will turn green, showing it's been completed
- The khatmah is finished when all 60 hizbs are completed or when the end date is reached
Sharing Your Khatmah
- On the khatmah page, you'll see a 'Copy Link' button
- Click it to copy the link to your clipboard
- Share this link with others via WhatsApp, email, or any messaging app
- You can also share the khatmah code for others to join
Tips
- Hizb divisions are standardized and cannot be changed - they follow the traditional Quran divisions
- Book hizbs you're confident you can complete
- Check the end date regularly to ensure timely completion
- Share the link widely to get more participants
